The Ó²ººÊÓƵ Campus Police ensure your safety 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our kind and approachable officers walk the campus and staff the police office to be readily available to anyone needing assistance. We even have a Campus Police K-9, a comfort dog named Elvy, to help put our students at ease.

Noteworthy Credentials

The Ó²ººÊÓƵ Campus Police is a dually accredited law enforcement agency, with accreditations from both the Rhode Island Police Accreditation Commission (RIPAC) and the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA®). 

Ensuring Your Safety Indoors and Out

We have 54 outdoor blue light emergency phones on campus - on or near the exterior of all residence halls and most college buildings, in our parking lots, and along campus walkways. These phones have a direct speed calling button with an automatic identifier so that the Campus Police Dispatch immediately know the emergency location. The displays the exact locations of all phones so that students can familiarize themselves with where they are. In addition to emergency phones, all residence halls are equipped with card swipe access at the building entrance and individual room pin code access.
